Why give?
The River Campus Libraries supports the high academic quality and rigor of the University’s curriculum through its deep research collections, inspiring study spaces, and exceptional services. It is our mission to ensure that we can support the many paths of intellectual inquiry upon which our students and faculty travel.
To meet this challenge we need your help.
Your gifts support:
STUDENTS
Student interns receive an enriched learning experience that helps prepare them for the next stage of their lives. Funding helps provide internships for students in Rare Books and Special Collections, the Robbins Library, and our Digital Humanities Center program, among others.
LEARNING SPACES
When students and faculty walk through our doors, we want them to be entering an academic gathering place for collaborative activity, experiential learning and research. Gifts to the annual fund support the continual evolution of our learning spaces by enabling us to make the substantive changes that are required for both our physical and virtual learning environments.
TECHNOLOGY
Technology is having a profound effect on everything we do. Annual fund support enables us to purchase new and emerging technologies to keep our students at the forefront of the digital age.
COLLECTIONS
We welcome funds to support our rich print and digital collections and then get into the rare and unique items. Your annual fund support fuels the acquisition of rare and unique materials , both physical and digital, for customized curricular experiences, curated exhibits, citizen scholarship, and collaborations with other cultural institutions.
Through your generosity and dedication, I have been working as a library intern digitizing William Seward’s priceless papers, a project that has combined my interests in unique ways. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity.
